About our client
Our client is an international producer of industrial circular saw blades for metal applications. Their headquarters is based in the Netherlands and the business has a rich history that started all the way back in 1947. With their unique combination of HSS, TCT and segmental saw blades, they serve customers across the oil and gas, automotive, mechanical engineering and construction industries. In total they have 14 sales and service locations and 4 production locations, and their products are mainly exported and sold in up to 80 countries worldwide. To strengthen their Italian team, they are looking for a dedicated sales hunter in Northern Italy.
What you will do
- Develop new business relationships in line with the company strategy to generate growth, revenue and improved profitability.
- Attend to the needs of your existing customers and increase business opportunities through various routes to market.
- Build your own local sales strategy and set targets by compiling and analysing sales figures and gathering customer feedback and market research. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer in the Netherlands.
- Deal directly with customer accounts and build long term relationships with major customers.
- Keep a clear overview of relevant market information that helps you identify new customers and their needs and keeps the business competitive.
- Receive orders from clients directly or redirect customers to the inside sales office at headquarters in the Netherlands for ordering.
- Contribute to regular sales meetings by sharing insights and results and adding to the team spirit.
What you bring
- 3 to 8 years of experience in a commercial role. A background in the steel industry is a big plus.
- Experience with or knowledge of the grinding, forging, tube or metal tools market.
- A proactive, eager and naturally results driven professional.
- Fluent Italian and English.
- A strong multitasker who manages time efficiently.
- A trustworthy, natural communicator who is comfortable with C level executives and operators alike.
- The ability to build long term, trust based relationships with clients.
- A genuine hunter for leads and opportunities.
- Solid knowledge of sales techniques and good negotiation skills.
- A full driving license.
- The ability to travel internationally when required.
